The Official Green Day Angry Birds Trailer
What would happen if the punk
rock band Green Day teamed up with the evil pigs from the famous Angry Birds
video game?
In honor of Green Day's new album
trilogy ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! And ¡Tré!, the
first of which will be released this month, fans of Green Day and Angry
Birds can find out. ROVIO Mobile, the creator of Angry Birds, teamed up with Green
Day for 10 new levels in the Angry Birds game! Fans can access Green Day’s latest
single “Oh Love” and an exclusive song called “Troublemaker.” The pigs look like
Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, the three main members of
the band.
If you're a Green Day fan and
haven't heard any of Green Day’s new songs, several new singles are available
for download. If you’re a Green Day fan and an Angry Birds fan, the full Green
Day version of the game is available on Facebook. One of my freshman friends
enjoys Green Day and Angry Birds, so when I mentioned this game to him, he quickly
logged on to his computer and started playing this new version of Angry Birds.
He played it for nonstop hours until he got all 3 stars on every level. He told
me he loved it! Actual game reviews are available on the web from sites such as
GameSpot and even the LATimes.
While the newly released Green
Day songs continue to sound like Green Day’s past smash hits from the American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown albums, singles for the first ¡Uno! album also break new ground. Look
for the new songs “Oh Love”, “Kill the DJ,” and “Let Yourself Go”.
Now, over to the Angry Birds
side. The game has remained popular between Green Day and Angry Birds fans ever
since the Green Day version came out 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the game (do
you mean the widget?) promises only a preview of the new song, so if you expect
a whole song, you'll only be getting a 1:20 preview.
The game features the same birds,
the same, good old slingshot, and the same structures. There are new structures
such as Green Day's American Idiot logo. Each pig is dressed up like a
different member of the band. In order from left to right: Mike Dirnt on his
famous Fender bass, Tré Cool on the drums, and Billie Joe Armstrong on his
signature guitar. Plus roadies on the side of the stage add an extra
effect. The words "GREEN DAY" are suspended by balloons. If you can
get to the TNT under the stage I can guarantee you'll definitely have a
"blast"!
So, for Green Day fans, there
will be new music as each album in the trilogy gets released through January
2013. And for Angry Bird fans, Rovio has said the Green Day version will receive
updates sometime in the fall.
